Brandi Peetz has declared her candidacy on a non-partisan ticket and is running to bring renewed energy to the Spokane Valley City Council.  Most importantly she wants Valley Citizens to know, she "Represents the Community!"  Brandi is running for City Council primarily because she wants to return the voice of the valley back to its citizens.  

Brandi and Chad PeetzBrandi lives with her husband, Chad, and has been a Spokane Valley resident for over 28 years. After her father retired out of the Army in 1991, they returned home to Spokane Valley, where she attended Chester Elementary, Horizon Junior High, and Central Valley High School and excelled in varsity sports. She went on to get an Associate's Degree from Spokane Community College where she earned an academic scholarship to continue her education and receive a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Gonzaga University.

Brandi met Chad through various valley school events and functions in junior high. It wasn't until after high school graduation that they would cross paths again and fate stepped in. Chad and Brandi have been together for over 12 years with their two dogs, Lucy and Dez. Chad is a Journeyman Pipefitter and works many hours out of town to provide for their family. Although Chad works out of town, they choose to remain in their home in the Spokane Valley where they want to start a family.

Throughout the years Brandi has gained a diverse set of job skills, in an elected position, as the Associated Student Government Vice-President for Spokane Community College (SCC). Governmental skills were honed as an advocate for SCC students’ interests and  concerns to the college administration, faculty, staff and the greater community.  She participated in setting campus policy and procedures, allocated the Service and Activities Funds and maintained the budget, served as a member of various campus committees, and evaluated student programs to reflect the changing needs and interests of the students. While in office, she was able to meet with many legislators in Olympia and speak with them about local issues facing the community. Brandi was even selected to testify on behalf of her fellow students when the government was going to increase the Student Activity Fees for Spokane Community College.

Since being elected to her Spokane Valley City Council position in 2017, Brandi has been involved in many of the positive outcomes in Spokane Valley pertaining to our Public Safety, Roads and Transportation, as well as our Park System. Some of those outcomes have been

Inspired by her family's commitment to public service, Brandi has been active in the Community by attending City Council meetings, working at the Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council to assist with the Community DUI Victim Impact Panel among many other programs, and volunteered with the Spokane County Sheriff Citizen's Advisory and Review Board (CAB).  In 2016  she attended the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE) National Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico and recently assisted in the procurement of the 2017 NACOLE National Conference to Spokane, which brings 500 oversight professionals from around the world into the community.

Brandi presently works full time as the Office Manager for Stahl Optical, in addition to managing a household and running her campaign. When she isn't billing insurance or balancing the daily business activities she is researching issues, attending community events, and networking with citizen's of the Spokane Valley. This election is about the future of our neighborhoods and this community. Brandi Peetz embodies the bold, energetic, vibrant leadership that is needed to attain the goals of its citizens.
